In November of 2023 Troop 2000 and 270 had a fun day of camping and hiking at Cedar Valley Park. When we got there it was already dark. We made dinner and ate, then we set up our tents and went to sleep. When we woke up, the people training for Philmont left and backpacked for ten miles.
While they did that, the rest of the people made a delicious breakfast, then started doing conservation work for the local birds. We first made bird seed bombs and distributed them around the forest. Afterwards we created nesting boxes. Then we had lunch and went on a long hike along the riverside. We returned around three, then gathered items from the woods around us to make nature snacks and ate them. My favorite thing about this was going on the hike and seeing the nature.
