Troop 2000’s October outing will be to Manitowoc, Wisconsin to visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and to spend Saturday night sleeping aboard the nation's most completely restored WWII Submarine; the USS Cobia.
Friday:
Departure will be 1pm in the afternoon. Lodging will be the Dommisse Lodge (bunkhouse) at the Marsh Haven Nature Center in Waupun, WI. Dinner will be at the nearby Pizza Ranch and arcade.
Saturday:
Cooking breakfast and lunch at the lodge with hopes to organize activities to accomplish early rank requirements such as First Class 5a and 9b at the nature center. Stops at the Lottie Cooper Shipwreck and the Aviation Heritage Center are also being considered if time permits. Dinner location will be Luigi’s Italian Restaurant before checking into the Maritime museum at 7:30pm.
Sunday’s return will be mid or late afternoon.
What to Bring: Bring clothes for a 2 night urban adventure. Bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and bed roll or air mattress. Bring a water bottle. Bring a raincoat. Bring cash for snacks during road stops, souvenirs at the museum, and Sunday’s breakfast and lunch on the road.
There will be no refunds after the signup closes, however you can find another person to take your place.

Signup is first come, first served since the group size is capped at 25 total (or if there is still space on the sub). Our group size needs to be submitted by the end of August.
Cost: $120 for scouts and adults. The cost includes reservation costs, Friday dinner, plus Saturday’s breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Note:
We are planning to have a driver leave Saturday morning for scouts who need to attend the Friday night football game (only for marching band or football players). Discount of $15 will apply.
