Troop 2000 is opening an “exploratory survey” to see who may be interested in participating in a watershed awareness river expedition (Iowa Project Aware). The goal of the survey is to only determine interest and scale of planning. By submitting this survey you are indicating you are both “available” July 11-16 and “interested” in participating. However, this survey does not commit you to the activity.
Please Summit this exploratory survey if you (scout+adult) are interested in participating. Survey closes Monday, March 8th.
General requirements to participate:
- Pass the BSA Swim Check requirements (includes adults who plan to be on the water).
- Canoeing Skills (past experience or demonstrated).
- Reasonable personal management skills - there shuttles do not wait for anyone.
A week of canoeing | camping | education | conservation
Meals | Shuttling | canoes | paddles | life jackets are provided
Expected cost: $145 per participant for the full week.
See the event’s website for “what to expect”, “what to pack”, and other details under “The Cleanup” tab.
